كشف “مثير” عن سلالات كورونا وحجم التفشي في ووهان
كشق محققون من منظمة الصحة العالمية عن وجود مؤشرات بأن تفشي فيروس كورونا في ووهان الصينية في ديسمبر 2019 كان أكثر اتساعا مما كان يعتقد سابقا، في وقت يسعى فيه الخبراء للوصول إلى مئات الآلاف من عينات الدم من المدينة التي لم تسمح لهم سلطاتها بفحصها.
ونقلت شبكة سي أن إن الأميركية عن المحقق الرئيسي لبعثة منظمة الصحة، بيتر إمبرك قوله إن البعثة وجدت عدة علامات على أن انتشار 2019 كان واسع النطاق، وأن هناك أكثر من 12 سلالة من الفيروس في ووهان بالفعل في ديسمبر.
وأفاد المصدر بأنه تمت اتاحة الفرصة أمام المحققين للتحدث مع أول مريض بـكوفيد-19 وهو في الأربعينات من عمره، وليس لديه سجل سفر، وتم التأكد من إصابته في يوم 8 ديسمبر 2019.
وأكد بيرت أمبرك الذي عاد مؤخرا إلى سويسرا قادما من ووهان “كان الفيروس ينتشر على نطاق واسع في ووهان في ديسمبر وهو اكتشاف جديد”.
وقال المحقق الرئيسي لبعثة منظمة الصحة إن العلماء الصينيين قدموا للفريق 174 حالة إصابة بفيروس كورونا في ووهان وما حولها في ديسمبر 2019، ومن بين هؤلاء 100 إصابة تم تأكيدها خلال الاختبارات المعملية و74 حالة أخرى من خلال التشخيص السريري لأعراض المريض.
وأضاف أنه من الممكن أن يكون هذا العدد هو للحالات الشديدة المحتملة التي لاحظها الأطباء الصينيون في وقت مبكر، إذ إن المرض قد يصيب ما يقدر بأكثر من 1000 شخص في ووهان في ديسمبر
ونقلت سي أن أن عن أمبرك قوله “لم نقم بأي نمذجة منذ ذلك الحين لكن حتى مع وجود أرقام كبيرة من المصابين ينتهي الأمر بنحو 15بالمئة للحالات الحادة والغالبية العظمى حالات خفيفة”.
وأكد أن البعثة، التي ضمت 17 عالماً من منظمة الصحة و17 عالماً صينياً، بأنها قامت بفحص المادة الوراثية للفيروس للحالات المبكرة من الإصابة، إلا أنه لم يسمح لهم بالنظر إلا إلى عينات جزئية بدلاً من العينات الكاملة، ونتيجة لذلك تمكنوا من جمع 13 تسلسلاً وراثياً مختلفا لفيروس SARS-COV-2 لأول مرة اعتباراً من ديسمبر 2019، وأضاف أنه من الممكن أن توفر التسلسلات في حال تم فحصها مع بيانات المرضى بشكل أوسع أدلة قيّمة حول موعد وتفشي المرض قبل ديسمبر.
ووفقا للشبكة الأميركية، فإن اكتشاف العديد من المتغيرات المحتملة المختلفة لفيروس كورونا قد تشير إلى أنه كان منتشراً لفترة أطول من ذلك الشهر فقط وفقاً لعلماء الفيروسات، ومن المحتمل أن تكون هذه المادة الوراثية أول دليل مادي يظهر لدعم هذه النظرية.
وقال البروفيسور إدوارد هولمز عالم الفيروسات بجامعة سيدني في أستراليا: “نظراً لوجود تنوع جيني بالفعل في تسلسل الفيروس المأخوذ من ووهان في ديسمبر 2019، فإنه من المحتمل أن يكون الفيروس انتشر لفترة سابقة من شهر ديسمبر”. وفقا لسي أن إن.
وأضاف أن هذه التسلسلات الـ13 قد تشير إلى انتشار الفيروس لبعض الوقت دون اكتشافه قبل الإعلان عن تفشي ووهان رسمياً في ديسمبر 2019، وأن هناك فترة انتقال خفي قبل اكتشافه لأول مرة في سوق هونان.
