(نيويورك تايمز) تكشف تفاصيل عن تدمير طائرات الاحتلال برج الجلاء بغزة
أكدت صحيفة (نيويورك تايمز)، أن بعض المسؤولين الإسرائيليين رفيعي المستوى يشعرون بالندم من قرار تدمير برج الجلاء مقر وسائل إعلام دولية في غزة خلال جولة التصعيد الأخيرة حول القطاع.
ونقلت الصحيفة، اليوم الأحد، عن ثلاثة مسؤولين إسرائيليين قولهم: “إن بعض الضباط في الجيش الإسرائيلي، قبل تبني قرار تدمير المبنى الذي كان يضم مكاتب وسائل إعلام دولية ومحلية مختلفة منها وكالة (أسوشيتد برس) وشبكة (الجزيرة)، أعربوا عن معارضتهم لهذه الخطة”.
وأشار المسؤولون الذين طلبوا عدم الكشف عن أسمائهم إلى أن القرار النهائي بخصوص تدمير البرج جاء نظرا لأهمية المعدات الإلكترونية التابعة لحركة (حماس) التي زعمت إسرائيل وجودها في المبنى، وذلك مع إصدار إبلاغ مسبق بخصوص العملية لتفادي سقوط ضحايا بشرية جراء القصف.
لكن في ظل الصدى الدولي الواسع الذي أحدثته هذه العملية، أكدت مصادر (نيويورك تايمز) أن بعض المسؤولين رفيعي المستوى في الحكومة والجيش يصفون حاليا ذلك القرار بأنه كان خاطئا، موضحين أن إسرائيل مهتمة بأن تكون وسائل الإعلام منفتحة عليها كي تعرض عبرها رؤيتها للأحداث الأخيرة حول غزة، وأن تدمير برج الجلاء جعل هذا أكثر صعوبة.
وقال أحد المسؤولين إن تلك العملية كانت مبررة من الناحية العسكرية، مقرا في الوقت نفسه بأن المشككين بخصوصها كانوا على صواب لأن الأضرار التي لحقت نتيجة لتلك الغارة بسمعة إسرائيل الدولية تتجاوز أي مكاسب عسكرية ناجمة عن تدمير معدات “حماس”.
وجاء هذا التقرير على الرغم من إعلان مسؤول عسكري إسرائيلي بارز بعد الغارة أنه لا يندم منها إطلاقا، موضحا أنه لو لم تتخذ إسرائيل هذه الخطوة لأدركت “حماس” أنها تستطيع حماية أصولها من خلال نشرها بجوار مرافق إعلامية.
واتهم مسؤول إسرائيلي عسكري آخر، (حماس) باستخدام المعدات التي كانت في داخل برج الجلاء لتشويش الاتصالات ونظم الملاحة الإسرائيلية العاملة عبر الأقمار الصناعية، ونفت الحركة صحة هذه الادعاءات.
وتداولت وسائل الإعلام الدولية لقطات تظهر صحفيي (أسوشيتد برس) في غزة، وهم يغادرون برج الجلاء على نحو الاستعجال بعد تلقيهم الإبلاغ الإسرائيلي ويحاولون إنقاذ أكبر عدد ممكن من معداتهم الصحفية من الغارة القادمة في 15 مايو الجاري.
