يحكي ان في قرية صغيرة عاشت ارملة فقيرة مع طفلها الصغير حياة بسيطة متواضعة للغاية، كانت لا تمتلك الا قوت يومها وحياتها كانت صعبة جداً، عاشت هذه الاسرة الصغيرة في حجرة فوق سطح احدى البنايات، وعلى الرغم من هذه الظروف إلا ان الام والابن كانوا يتمتعون بالرضا والقناعة، وكان ما يزعج الام هو موسم الشتاء عندما يأتي وتبدأ الامطار بالسقوط، فالغرفة التي تعيش فيها مع ابنها عبارة عن اربعة جدران وبها باب خشبي ولكن ليس لها سقف .
كان الطفل يبلغ من العمر اربع سنوات، وكانت القرية طوال هذه السنوات الاربعة لم تتعرض إلا لزخات خفيفة من المطر، ولكن في هذا اليوم هطلت الامطار بغزارة شديدة وامتلأت سماء القرية بالغيوم والسحب الداكنة، ومع هذه الاحوال الجوية الصعبة والمخيفة احتمي الجميع بمنازلهم، ولكن كان على الارملة وابنها الطفل أن يواجهوا هذا الموقف العصيب بمفردهم .
نزلت دموع الام وهي تنظر الى طفلها. لا تدري كيف تحميه من الامطار الغزيرة، احتنضنته وكأنها تخأبه بداخلها ولكن جسد الام وثيابها كان غارقاً بالماء خطرت على بال الام فكرة فنظرت الي باب الغرفة ..خلعته ووضعته مائلاً على احد الجدران وخبأت الطفل تحت هذا الباب حتي تحجب عنه سيل المطر المنهمر .
فما كان من هذا الطفل إلا ان نظر الى والدته وقال لها في سعادة بريئة وقد علت على وجهه ابتسامة رضا : يا تري ماذا يمكن أن يفعل الفقراء يا امي في هذه الظروف الصعبة عندما يسقط عليهم المطر وهم ليس لديهم باب ؟! تخيل أن هذا الصغير قد شعر في هذه اللحظة انه من الاثرياء وينتمي الي طبقة الاغنياء لمجرد أنه يمتلك باب يحميه من المطر، وبالتالي فقد فكر في حال الفقراء الذين لا يمتلكون هذا الباب الذي يحميه .. ما أجمل الرضا . . . إنه مصدر السعادة و هدوء البال , و وقاية من المرارة و التمرد و الحقد اضغط هنا
