قرار قد يحرم الفرق الإنجليزية من الاستمرار في بطولات أوروبا
ذكرت صحيفة “صن” البريطانية أن منافسات دوري أبطال أوروبا والدوري الأوروبي تواجه أزمة جديدة بعد أن اعترض وزراء في الحكومة البريطانية على محاولة إعفاء نجوم الرياضة من الحجر الصحي.
وأوضحت الصحيفة أنه بموجب القيود الصارمة الجديدة التي فرضها رئيس الوزراء بوريس جونسون، سيتعين على جميع القادمين الجدد إلى المملكة المتحدة عزلهم لمدة 14 يوما، بما في ذلك الرياضيين، دون استثناءات، ما عدا شاحنات النقل والدبلوماسيين.
هذا من شأنه أن يعيق فرص بيب غوارديولا وفريقه مانشستر سيتي للفوز باللقب الأول في دوري أبطال أوروبا، ما يجعل السفر الدولي للاعبين مستحيلا.
وأقنعت روابط الألعاب المهمة في البداية وزير الثقافة البريطاني، أوليفر دودن، بالحصول على إعفاء من هذا الشرط، لكن وزارة الصحة ومكتب مجلس الوزراء قد تجاوزا وزير الثقافة ورفضا هذا الاستثناء.
وقال مصدر في مجلس الوزراء أنه سيتم مراجعة قاعدة الحجر الصحي الجديدة الصارمة كل ثلاثة أسابيع طوال فصل الصيف.
ووضع الاتحاد الأوروبي لكرة القدم “يويفا” خطة لإنهاء دوري أبطال أوروبا في أغسطس المقبل، لكن قرار الحجر الصحي البريطاني سيعني كارثة لسيتي وتشيلسي بعد بلوغهما دور الستة عشر لدوري الأبطال.
ولا يزال مانشستر يونايتد وولفرهامبتون الإنجليزيان ورينجرز الإسكتلندي في الدوري الأوروبي.
